Guéhi’s Late Header Lifts Crystal Palace to Fourth in Dramatic Win Over Fulham

Crystal Palace climbed into the Premier League’s top four after Marc Guéhi scored a late winning header to snatch a 2-1 victory away at Fulham. The centre-back rose at the near post to meet a corner in the closing stages, completing a hard-fought performance and continuing Palace’s strong form under Oliver Glasner.

Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring for Palace with a crisp finish on his first league start of the season, before Fulham equalised through a stunning outside-of-the-boot strike from Harry Wilson. Both teams pushed for a winner, but Palace remained resilient despite heavy fixture congestion and the absence of key defender Daniel Muñoz.

Fulham thought they had turned the game around when Emile Smith Rowe scored after Calvin Bassey hit the post, but the goal was ruled out for offside in the buildup. From then on Palace rode out pressure before striking late through Guéhi, who could leave the club next summer but continues to play a crucial role.

The win extends Palace’s impressive run and deepens belief among supporters that Glasner’s side could challenge high up the table if reinforced in January. Meanwhile, Fulham’s lack of edge in the final third remains a concern, with Marco Silva warning his team must show more resilience in tight games.

“We’ve got to recover and go again,” Guéhi said after full-time — but for now, Palace have every reason to celebrate.
